Realization of construction

The Government of the Slovak Republic instructed the Minister of Health, in cooperation with the Minister of Justice, to establish a detention centre. A works contract is signed with the successful bidder, STRABAG Pozemné a inžinierske staviteľstvo s.r.o.

On the basis of force majeure related to the pandemic pandemic COVID-19, the parties agreed to suspend the works and to postpone the execution of the works. The resumption of work shall take place in May 2020. Completion of the construction works and handover to the investor – the Ministry of Health of the Slovak Republic took place in January 2022.

The construction lasted a total of 22 months from the acceptance of the construction site. Since that date, the premises have been gradually arranged on the basis of the needs of the clients who will be placed at the Hronovce Children’s Institute. Working facilities are being created for the medical staff, technical staff and members of the ZVJS.
